With this, the Bruins have been outscored 13-2 in their first two games of their road trip. They also now have a minus-23 goal differential for the season. The only team with a worse one in the Eastern Conference is the Montreal Canadiens (minus-29 goal differential). These two blowout losses are undoubtedly challenging to see. This is especially so when noting that the Bruins appeared to turn a corner before them, as they won four straight games. However, they are again having immense trouble against teams in the playoff hunt. The Bruins were never able to get a lead after this and also quickly allowed the Kraken's second goal of the game five minutes into the first. While the Bruins made it a 2-1 game in the second period, they again had their most significant struggles in the third. After allowing five third-period goals to the Jets in their last contest, they gave up three in the third against Seattle. The Bruins will now look to bounce back against a tough Vancouver Canucks team tomorrow night (Dec. 14).
