Middleton, 28, has appeared in 60 games this season, posting seven goals, 20 points, 68 penalty minutes, 125 blocks, and 123 hits. He is also under contract until the end of next season, meaning he would be more than a rental. While adding him would not be as big of a splash as bringing in Middleton, he would still give Boston more of the bite that they are looking for.
