Two former Buffalo Sabres are among the players who hit the waiver wire on Sep. 25.

The NHL saw several players hit the waiver wire on Sep. 25, and a few of them are former Buffalo Sabres players.

Former Sabres Eric Comrie and Riley Stillman are among the NHL players who hit waivers on Friday.

Comrie was placed on waivers by the San Jose Sharks after signing a two-year, $2.3 million contract with them during the off-season. In 25 games last season with the Winnipeg Jets, he had a 12-11-1 record, an .890 save percentage, and a 3.13 goals-against average.

Comrie spent two seasons with the Sabres from 2022-23 to 2023-24. In 29 games with Buffalo over that span, he had an 11-16-1 record, an .882 save percentage, and a 3.68 goals-against average.

As for Stillman, he was placed on waivers by the Edmonton Oilers. This is after he had zero points in four games with Edmonton last season. He also posted three goals and 18 points in 51 AHL games with the Bakersfield Condors in 2025-26.

Stillman appeared in 18 games with the Sabres during the 2022-23 season, posting one goal, three points, 29 hits, and a plus-1 rating.
