Team USA has announced its roster forthe 4 Nations Face-Off, and Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch, two Buffalo Sabres stars, did not make the cut.

Both Thompson and Tuch certainly made cases for a spot on Team USA through their excellent play this campaign. However, Team USA elected to go in a different direction. 

Thompson, 27, has had a nice bounce-back season with the Sabres so far. In 20 games, he already has 13 goals to go along with 20 points and a plus-4 rating. 

Tuch, on the other hand, has eight goals, 23 points, and a plus-11 rating in 25 contests. 

However, while Thompson and Tuch both have had nice years, they will not be representing Team USA.
