If the Sabres' season goes south, these three players could end up being moved.

If the Sabres' season goes south, these three players could end up being moved.

The Buffalo Sabres suffered a brutal loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night (Dec. 3). After scoring four unanswered goals in the first, the Sabres allowed five straight goals to the Avalanche and lost. The Avs also scored four of their goals in the third period. With this, Buffalo has now lost four straight games and sports an 11-12-2 record.

NHL teams go through funks throughout the season, so there is still time for the Sabres to get things back on track. However, if their season goes south and they end up being sellers again this season, these three players could end up moved.

    Jason Zucker

Jason Zucker has been a solid addition for the Sabres, posting five goals and 15 points in 25 games so far this season. However, the 32-year-old is only signed for the season, so he would be a clear trade chip if the Sabres are not holding a playoff spot later this season.

If Zucker is made available and continues to produce well, he would generate interest from playoff teams looking to improve their middle six.

    Henri Jokiharju

Henri Jokiharju would be another player to watch as a trade candidate if the Sabres become sellers this season. The 25-year-old defenseman is a pending UFA and could get attention from clubs needing help on the right side of their defense.

Jokiharju has had a quiet start this season, recording one goal, two assists, and a plus-2 rating in 19 games. However, contenders always look for more defensive depth before the playoffs, so he could be a popular target.

    Jordan Greenway

Jordan Greenway is another pending UFA on the Sabres who could be moved if the Sabres end up selling. The 6-foot-6 winger would generate trade interest, as contenders always look for more size and grit for the post-season.

In 16 games this season, Greenway has three goals, six points, 40 hits, and a plus-3 rating. The Vancouver Canucks were previously linked to him
