Buffalo dresses mostly an NHL lineup for the second straight exhibition game before heading to Europe

The Buffalo Sabres will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at Key Bank Center on Monday afternoon in the club's second preseason game. The earlier-than-usual 5 pm starting time is due to the Buffalo Bills playing the Jacksonville Jaguars at Highmark Stadium on Monday night. The Sabres did not hold a morning skate because of the early start time and all other players will take part in the third scrimmage on Day #6 of training camp.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 15 saves in a 7-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday and went the full 60 minutes, so it is expected that Devon Levi will play the entire game against the Jackets, with Felix Sandstrom serving as the backup. The unit of Jordan Greenway, Ryan McLeod, and Jason Zucker, who did not play against the Penguins, will dress on Monday, as will all other forwards who played on Saturday except veteran Alex Tuch. Newcomer Dennis Gilbert subbing in for Jacob Bryson will be the only change on defense.

Defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, who suffered an undisclosed injury last Wednesday, skated on Monday. Head coach Lindy Ruff said that Dahlin would miss a few days and it appears he is ramping up towards being available for practices with the club once they travel to Germany on Tuesday.
