This injury came at a rough time for the young Sabres forward.

The Buffalo Sabres announced that forward Jiri Kulich will be out week-to-week due to a lower-body injury.

Kulich, 20, is one of the club's most promising young forwards, so it certainly is tough that he needs to miss a decent chunk of time. This is especially so with the Sabres looking to get their season back on track.

Kulich has seven goals, two assists, and a minus-1 rating in 31 games this season with the Sabres. However, the exciting rookie has been improving as of late, posting three goals and five points over his last nine contests. Thus, the timing of this injury is unfortunate for the skilled youngster.

Here's to hoping that Kulich has a speedy recovery and suffers no setbacks along the way. The 2022 first-round pick is starting to adjust well to the NHL level, so it will be great once he is given the green light to return.
