This Buffalo Sabres prospect is having a strong start to the season.

Buffalo Sabres prospect Isak Rosen is one of the top prospects in the club's system. Although the 21-year-old forward did not make the NHL squad out of training camp, there is reason to believe he is not too far away from changing that.

Rosen took a nice step forward in his development this past season with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL). In 67 games with the AHL squad, he set new career highs with 20 goals, 30 assists, and 50 points. This was after he had 14 goals and 37 points in 66 games with the Amerks in 2022-23.

Now, Rosen is continuing to stay hot, as he is off to an excellent start with the Amerks this season. In two games, the 2021 first-round pick has one goal to go along with three points. Seeing the Solna, Sweden native produce at the AHL level is encouraging, and it will now be interesting to see how much he builds off it from here.

If Rosen keeps producing offensively, don't be surprised if the Sabres give him a shot on the NHL roster at some point this season.
