The Buffalo Sabres are bringing back a familiar face, as they have hired former Sabres defender Justin Falk as one of their scouts.

Falk, 35, played for the Sabres during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. In 98 total games as a Sabre, the 6-foot-5 defender posted one goal, 10 points, 102 blocks, and 222 hits.

This is Falk's first off-ice NHL job since the 2007 fourth-round pick retired from the NHL after his 10-game stint with the Ottawa Senators in 2018-19.

Falk spent the last three seasons as the head coach and general manager of the Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Over 10 NHL seasons split between the Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Sabres, and Senators, Falk had three goals, 33 points, 219 penalty minutes, and 503 hits in 279 games.
