Former Sabres Star Just Continues To Shine With New Team

Former Buffalo Sabres star Alex Tuch is continuing to shine with the Washington Capitals.

During the Capitals' Oct. 28 matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers, Tuch scored two goals. With this latest strong performance, the former Sabres star forward now has nine goals and 11 points in 11 games for Washington this season.

Tuch has only been playing better lately, too. Over his last five games, the former Sabres winger now has six goals and eight points. This included him scoring two goals against the Sabres on Oct. 24. With numbers like these, it is clear that he is playing some excellent hockey right now.

Seeing Tuch have this kind of success with the Capitals is not too surprising. He made a major impact during his time with the Sabres and was one of their top offensive contributors. With this and the way he is playing right now, the Sabres are certainly missing him early on this season.

Tuch spent five seasons with the Sabres from 2021-22 to 2025-26. In 360 games over that span with Buffalo, the 6-foot-4 forward posted 139 goals, 170 assists, and 309 points. He also recorded at least 33 goals and 66 points in three out of his final four seasons as a Sabre.
