Buffalo Sabres defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker has had a nice start to his tenure with the Atlantic Division club. In his second game as a Sabre on March 23 against the Winnipeg Jets, he recorded two assists in Buffalo's 5-3 win. Now, he is only continuing to impress.

During March 25's contest against the Ottawa Senators, Bernard-Docker scored his first goal as a Sabre. It was a beauty, too, as he beat Senators goalie Anton Forsberg with a great wrist shot.

This first goal as a Sabre must have been extra sweet for Bernard-Docker, as he picked it up against the team that traded him. It also was a crucial goal for the Sabres, as Bernard-Docker's tally tied the game up at 2-2 during the second period. From there, Sabres star Tage Thompson would score the game-winner at the 1:23 mark of the third period.

Overall, it is hard not to like what the Sabres are getting from Bernard-Docker early on. The 2018 first-round pick is taking advantage of his fresh start and showing off his potential in the process. In three games with the Sabres since the move, he now has one goal, two assists, and a plus-2 rating.
