Which teams could target Sabres goalie Devon Levi this summer?
Buffalo Sabres goalie Devon Levi will be a trade candidate to watch this off-season. With the Sabres having Alex Lyon, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, and Colten Ellis all ahead of him on their depth chart, it would not be shocking if Levi ends up being dealt.
Because of this, let's look at three teams that could look to acquire Levi during the summer.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers could be a team to watch when it comes to Levi. It is no secret that they need help between the pipes, so it would be understandable if they took a chance on a young goalie like Levi. This is especially so if pending unrestricted free agent Connor Ingram ends up not re-signing.
Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers should be on the hunt for another goalie this summer. While Dan Vladar was excellent during his first season in Philly, Samuel Ersson struggled mightily. With this, it would not be surprising if they looked to upgrade their backup goalie spot, and bringing in Levi could do just that.
New York Rangers
With Jonathan Quick retiring, the Rangers could look to bring in another goalie this summer. With Levi being 24 years old and having good upside, perhaps the retooling Blueshirts could be open to taking a shot on him. While they have a superstar goalie in Igor Shesterkin, Levi could be a nice backup for them if he breaks out.
