The Sabres could use another forward and have a trade target worth considering in Chris Kreider.
The Buffalo Sabres have made multiple moves this off-season, but it is fair to argue that they should not be done yet.
After moving on from Alex Tuch, it is clear that they could use another impactful winger to solidify their roster. When looking at potential trade candidates around the NHL who could make sense for the Sabres, Anaheim Ducks winger Chris Kreider stands out.
The Ducks are currently in an extremely difficult position, as they have limited cap space and still need to re-sign restricted free agent Cutter Gauthier. They may need to move on from at least one of their players, and Kreider has been creating chatter in the rumor mill because of it.
If the Sabres acquired Kreider from the Ducks, he would be a strong addition to their top nine. This is because the 6-foot-3 winger is still capable of providing solid scoring at this point in his career. His stats from last season show this, as he posted 22 goals and 50 points in 75 games.
Overall, with the Sabres' forward group needing a boost, they would be smart to consider calling the Ducks about Kreider. It will be interesting to see if they do just that.
