The Buffalo Sabres have made a move, signing goalie prospect Scott Ratzlaff to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Ratzlaff, 19, was selected by the Sabres with the 141st pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Ratzlaff is currently playing for the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL. In three appearances this season, he has a 3-0-0 record and a .933 save percentage. This is after he had a .905 SV% in 52 games last season with the Thunderbirds.

Ratzlaff is a promising youngster in Buffalo’s system with a bright future. It will be fascinating to see how much of an impact he can make with the Sabres later down the road.
