The Sabres have added to their goalie depth.

The Buffalo Sabres have signed goaltender James Reimer to a one-year, $1 million contract.

After losing Eric Comrie to the Winnipeg Jets, the Sabres needed a veteran goalie with experience to add to their depth. They have now done just that by bringing in Reimer.

Reimer now provides the Sabres with another option if they end up feeling that young netminder Devon Levi needs a bit more time in the AHL next season. In addition, he will be an excellent goalie to have around if injuries arise during the campaign.

    James Reimer

Reimer, 36, appeared in 25 games this past season with the Detroit Red Wings, where he posted an 11-8-2 record, a .904 save percentage, and a 3.11 goals-against average. With numbers like these and his overall experience, he has the potential to be a decent, low-risk addition to the Sabres' roster.
