Sabres Superstar Tage Thompson Is Heating Up Big Time

Buffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson is in the middle of a solid bounce-back season with the Atlantic Division club. In 57 games, the 6-foot-6 forward has scored 33 goals and posted 56 points. This is after he had 29 goals and 56 points but in 71 contests this past season.

When playing at his best, Thompson is a legitimate star, and he has undoubtedly been one again for Buffalo this season. Yet, what is more encouraging is that he is only continuing to heat up as this campaign rolls on.

During the Sabres' March 10 matchup against the Edmonton Oilers, Thompson scored two goals, including the game-winner, in their impressive 3-2 victory. With this, Thompson has five goals in his last five games. He also has 11 goals and 16 points in his previous 13 contests.

With numbers like these, there is no question that Thompson is really feeling it right now. It will be interesting to see how he builds on his hot streak from here, but he is showing no signs of slowing down.
