The Buffalo Sabres have announced that forward Tyson Kozak has been loaned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Rochester Americans.
The Sabres recalled Kozak from the Amerks late last month. During his call-up, the 21-year-old forward played in his first three NHL games, where he had one goal, two hits, and two blocks. He also had a goal disallowed in his NHL debut against the Winnipeg Jets on Dec. 5.
Overall, Kozak did not look out of place during his call-up with the Sabres and provided them with energy. However, while this is the case, he is still heading back to the Amerks, where he will continue to work on his development.
