After several weeks of trade rumors, Erik Johnson has finally found his new home.
The Buffalo Sabres have traded defenseman Erik Johnson to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick.
The Flyers recently parted ways with defenseman Sean Walker and landed a first-round pick for him. While the return was undoubtedly good for the Flyers, it created a hole on the right side of their defense. With the Flyers still being in the playoff race, they have now decided to fill it with Johnson.
Johnson should be a nice addition to the Flyers' bottom pairing as they look to end the season on a high note. He will also provide them with more experience and leadership, which is certainly not a bad thing for a young club like Philly.

In 50 games as a Sabre this season, Johnson had three goals and a minus-5 rating.
