The Buffalo Sabres will play seven preseason games in 2023, including a matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs in St. Thomas, Ontario, as part of Kraft Hockeyville, the team announced Wednesday.

The team will kick off its exhibition schedule on the road with a matinee against the Capitals in Washington on Sept. 24, one of four road contests on their slate. They’ll play their first home game on Sept. 26, hosting the Boston Bruins.

West Lorne, Ontario, about 34 miles west of St. Thomas, won the 2023 vote in the annual Kraft Hockeyville contest and, in addition to the preseason game, will receive $250,000 for upgrades to West Lorne Arena.
