Newly-acquired Robinson energizes linemates in win over Arizona
The Buffalo Sabres continued the positive trend of more energetic efforts in a 5-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes at Key Bank Center on Monday night. The contest saw the Sabres score first and add three second-period goals to pull out to a comfortable lead.
The line of Eric Robinson, Peyton Krebs and Kyle Okposo had a big night, scoring the first three Buffalo goals and going a combined +11 in the contest. J-J Peterka and Rasmus Dahlin also scored for the Sabres, and Devon Levi made 21 saves for his fifth victory of the season.
The Sabres move to 12-14-3 on the season and to within four points of a playoff spot.

Rocket Robinson
The acquisition of Eric Robinson from Columbus last week was made to provide a bit of quality depth up front and some straight-line speed according to head coach Don Granato, but the 28-year-old has also infused his linemates with energy, something that Granato says was much-needed and hopes that it is infectious. After being ejected for a hit on Montreal’s Justin Barron on Saturday, Robinson had a goal and two assists in the win over the Coyotes.
Lots-A-Shots
Buffalo's more engaged efforts have resulted in more shots on goal. Against Boston, the Sabres had 35 shots, 48 shots in the shootout loss to Montreal, and 38 shots against the Coyotes.
Captain Kyle
After going the first 19 games without a goal, Kyle Okposo has found his offensive game, scoring five times in the last 10 contests, including a second-period tally on Monday. His goals have been important ones, with tying markers against Pittsburgh and Montreal that led to the Sabres earning three of a possible four points.
