Savoie, 20, was selected by the Sabres with the ninth overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The expectation was that he would become a long-term part of the Sabres' top six. However, that hope can now be forgotten as he is heading to Edmonton. He also appeared in his first NHL game with the Sabres and had two goals and five points in six games with the Rochester Americans. McLeod, 24, is coming off a solid year with the Oilers, posting 12 goals, 30 points, and a plus-10 rating in 81 regular-season games.
