Calgary Flames forward Connor Zary left the game during the second period against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday after a knee-on-knee hit.

During Tuesday's second period of the Calgary Flames and Anaheim Ducks contest, the Flames lost 23-year-old forward Connor Zary for the remainder of the game after a knee-on-knee hit by Drew Helleson.

Following a review, the referees assessed a five-minute major and game misconduct for kneeing.

However, the teams played four-on-four as Jakob Pelletier took a two-minute roughing call while standing up for his fallen teammate.

With one second left on Pelletier's penalty, the Ducks tied the contest 1-1 with an Alex Killorn goal.

There's no word on the status of Zary's injury, but Calgary will be without their third-leading scorer, who has ten goals and 22 points in 39 games.
