The Calgary Flames wrap up another weekend back-to-back on Sunday night when they visit the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena.

The Calgary Flames (25-19-7) will finish another weekend back-to-back set by visiting the Seattle Kraken (23-27-3) at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday night.

Tonight is the second of four meetings this season. The Kraken won the first game on home ice with a 2-1 overtime victory on Oct. 19. These two will meet again next week at the Saddledome.

Since joining the league in 2021, the Flames have had the upper hand against their Pacific Northwest rivals thanks to an 8-3-1 record.

However, Calgary has lost three out of four and is now 5-5-0 in their last ten, including a 3-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on home ice Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Seattle has been off since Thursday night, when it defeated the San Jose Sharks 6-2. They are also 5-5-0 in their last ten contests.

    Between the Pipes

Dan Vladar is back between the pipes for the Flames tonight, last playing against the Winnipeg Jets a week ago when Calgary finished up their most recent set of back-to-backs.

Unfortunately, Vladar is just 2-5-2 in his last nine games dating back to the beginning of December, including going winless in his previous six appearances (0-5-1). He's produced .857 SV% over that time and has a 4.00 GAA.

Head coach Ryan Huska mentioned the team needed saves in the last game, so Vladar needs to bring his A-game to Seattle on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Kraken are rolling with their top goalie, Joey Daccord, who is 18-12-2 in 34 games this season. Moreover, he's got solid statistics with a .916 SV% and 2.43 GAA.

Interestingly, Daccord has never lost to the Flames, earning a 2-0-1 record in five games with just ten goals against. His statistics are slightly off from his season totals at .908 SV% and .268 GAA.
