The Calgary Flames will get another look at a largely NHL-calibre lineup Tuesday night when they host the Vancouver Canucks at the Scotiabank Saddledome in their second preseason game.

After opening the preseason with a 4-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Sunday, the Flames will dress a group that looks much closer to what could be expected on opening night.

Dustin Wolf is expected to make his first appearance of the preseason, with the Flames giving their projected No. 1 goaltender an opportunity to get into game action. Wolf is also expected to play the entire game.

The Flames will once again get a look at two of their young defencemen in Zayne Parekh and Yan Kuznetsov. The pair played together against Seattle, but will be split up against Vancouver.

Parekh is expected to skate alongside Jake Middleton, while Kuznetsov will be paired with Zach Whitecloud.

Up front, Matvei Gridin will get another opportunity after making his preseason debut Sunday. The young forward will skate on the top line with Morgan Frost and Matt Coronato.

The rest of the forward group features a mix of established NHL players and players competing for roles, including Sam Honzek alongside Mikael Backlund and Joel Farabee.

Connor Zary will centre Ryan Strome and Yegor Sharangovich, while Maxim Tsyplakov, Martin Pospisil and Adam Klapka make up the fourth line.

With several regulars back in the lineup, Tuesday’s game should provide a better indication of how the Flames are coming together with the regular season approaching.
