The Calgary Wranglers (30-19-4-2) can avoid a disastrous homestand by avenging a Tuesday night 6-1 loss to the Coachella Valley Firebirds, now the top team in the AHL Pacific Division

Although these two teams still meet two more times after Wednesday night, the Wranglers need to win out the final games to tie the season series, which the Firebirds have dominated with a 4-1-0-0 record.

    Conversation Starters

    • Tuesday marked the third time in the past four games against the Firebirds that Calgary has scored a single goal. Can they break through the glass ceiling tonight?

    • Walterri Ignatjew won his last start on Feb. 28 and is 2-0-0-1 in his previous three starts dating back to Jan. 25. Could he get a chance to run with it and spark the team to rediscover their game?
    • The Wranglers have been outscored 16-8 and outshot 102-71 on their current homestand. Although they can't reverse those numbers in a single game, tonight is a gut check moment for this talented roster to turn the page.
