Jacob Markstrom is officially back from injury and all signs point to Chris Tanev joining him, too, when the Calgary Flames play host to the Florida Panthers on Monday.
Markstrom, who had been sidelined due to a broken finger on his blocker hand suffered in practice Dec. 5, was removed from the injury list Sunday morning in time for practice. Tanev, who suffered an upper-body injury after receiving a hard hit in last Monday’s clash against the Colorado Avalanche, is back practising, too.
In turn, the Flames have dispatched goaltender Dustin Wolf and defenceman Ilya Solovyov back to the AHL Calgary Wranglers.
Wolf posted a 1-1-1 record and stopped 99 of 111 shots he faced over four games during this summons. Solovyov, who was recalled before Tanev was injured, has played in six NHL games this season and collected two assists and a minus-3 rating. He was scratched the past three games.
