Goaltender Jacob Markstrom, who has missed the last two games, also took part in Saturday's morning skate

As expected, the Calgary Flames recalled Matt Coronato from the AHL Wranglers on Saturday.

Coronato, the 2021 first-round draft choice who made the Flames roster out of training camp but was sent down after the first month of the campaign. He leads the Wranglers with 12 goals and 29 points and was selected to the AHL All-Star Game.

Coronato, 21, has collected one goal and one assist in 11 NHL games this season.

The Flames required a winger to play in the top three lines after Martin Pospisil was injured in Thursday's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

As well, goaltender Jacob Markstrom, who missed the last two games due to a lower-body injury, took part in the morning skate in anticipation of Saturday's home clash with the Edmonton Oilers.

However, it appears Dan Vladar will receive his third consecutive start in net.
