The Calgary Flames announced new sweater numbers for Joel Farabee, Morgan Frost, and Rory Kerins.

Thursday was a busy night for the Calgary Flames. Not only did they defeat the Anaheim Ducks at the Saddledome, but general manager Craig Conroy was busy completing a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Roughly an hour after the game, Conroy officially announced the deal, which brought Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to Calgary.

On Friday, the Flames posted on social media that Farabee would wear No. 86, Rory Kerin's old number, and Frost would wear No. 16, last worn by Nikita Zadorov from 2020 to 2024.

Kerins is currently back with the Calgary Wranglers and will play in a weekend series with the Abbotsford Canucks in preparation for the upcoming AHL All-Star Classic. When he returns to the Flames, he will wear No. 6, the same digits he has with the Wranglers.

Interestingly, Frost will be the 25th player to wear No. 16, a number with some big names attached to it, like Guy Chouinard, Brett Hull, Craig Berube, and Cory Stillman.

Only two Flames players, Josh Jooris and Kerins, have ever worn No. 86, while Kerins will become the 24th player to wear No. 6 after skaters like Cory Sarich, Phil Housley, Ric Nattress, Ken Houston, and more recently Connor Mackey in 2022.
