The Flames young forward put in quite the performance in Slovakia's second game of the World Championships.

Martin Pospisil put together an impressive game today against Kazakhstan in Slovakia's 6-2 win in Prague at the IIHF World Championships.

The 24-year-old scored his first two goals for the Slovakian men's team Sunday, earning Player of the Game honors. His first-period goal, burying a rebound in close, gave Slovakia the lead, one they would not relinquish all game.

Pospisil's backhand finish got the scoring started early in the third period, giving Slovakia a 5-1 lead.

Pospisil also finished the game 52.94% in the face-off circle, showing off his versatility after playing on the wing for the majority of the Flames season.

Next up for the Slovaks? A mighty test against the United States on Monday.
