Ben Jones and Emilio Pettersen re-sign two-way deals
The Calgary Flames have a need for fourth-line depth forward, especially one who can play center, and a couple of candidates are back in the fold.
Ben Jones and Emilio Pettersen (pictured above), both centers who spent all of last season with the AHL Calgary Wranglers, re-signed one-year, two-way contracts with a $775,000 NHL salary the cub announced on Thursday.
Jones, 24, collected 17 goals and 54 points last season with the minor-league squad. He has a pair of NHL games with the Vegas Golden Knights on his resume.
Pettersen, 23, netted 19 goals and 44 points for the Wranglers in his third AHL campaign, both career highs. The product of Norway was drafted in the sixth round by the Flames in 2018.
