

Calgary Flames prospect Etienne Morin scored a team-high two points (along with teammate Juraj Pekarcik), both power play assists, in his team, the Moncton Wildcats' 4-1 victory over the Rimouski Oceanic in Game One of the QMJHL Championships from Moncton, N.B. on Saturday afternoon.
The first assist was a secondary one, which went off Morin's stick to top prospect Caleb Desnoyers before Pekarcik put the puck into the back of the net 5:46 into the game.
Morin was more involved in his second assist as the Quebec native shot the puck from the point that took a deflection off the stick of Vincent Collard for the third goal 17:57 into the second period for the Wildcats.
The alternate captain received the Third Star of the Game award.
The 20-year-old Morin was drafted by the Flames in the 2023 NHL Draft 48th overall in the second round.
Fellow Flames prospect Andrew Basha also had a memorable game the day before.
