Big forward has missed the past four games due to shoulder injury
It appears the Calgary Flames may receive a boost to help alleviate the loss of Andrew Mangiapane when they play host to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.
Forward Adam Ruzicka was a full participant in Monday’s practice and skated at center on the fourth line with A.J. Greer and Walker Duehr.
Ruzicka has been on the sidelines since being on the receiving end of a hard, unpenalized check from Jimmy Vesey late in the first period of the Oct. 24 game against the New York Rangers.
Ruzicka has missed the past four games due to a shoulder injury. He has been listed as day-to-day since it happened and was even on the ice prior to the Heritage Classic outdoor game a few days later.
“You’re laughing at me, but it’s been close,” coach Ryan Huska told the media on Monday, alluding to the status Ruzicka has held. “It’s just some minor little things, so we’re hopeful that he responds after today and we have him available.”
Ruzicka has collected two goals and two assists so far this season.
The Flames will be without forward Andrew Mangiapane due to the one-game suspension he was handed after a match penalty received in Saturday’s 6-3 win over the Seattle Kraken.
