Each of the four nations will play three games in a round robin style.

The NHL's 4 Nations Face-Off starts today and will last a little over a week as Canada, Finland, Sweden and the USA battle it out for hockey supremacy.

Each of the four teams will play three games in a round robin format, one against every other team, and the top two teams following those games will face off in a final championship match.

The point system is as follows: three points for a regulation win, two points for an overtime/shootout win, one point for a overtime/shootout loss and zero points for a regulation loss.

In the case of a tie, the head-to-head result between the two teams will decide the standings.
