Well it looks like Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour is giving rookie Jackson Blake a shot to make his mark as he's seemingly been moved up to the team's top line before Carolina's Friday night match against the Vegas Golden Knights.

During pre-game warmups, the Hurricanes were lined up differently than how they had practiced earlier in the day.

Blake, 21, has primarily skated on the Canes' fourth line, averaging 11:44 per game, but the rookie has nine goals and 13 points in 45 games, including five game-winning goals.

He's shown great offensive instincts and has had a habit of winning his fair share of puck battles, so it was only a matter of time before the rookie got a bigger shot to prove himself.

Now he will alongside Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov.

Other lineup changes included moving Jack Roslovic, who leads the team in goals (17) and has played a lot on the top line, down to the fourth line and Seth Jarvis on the wing of Jordan Staal and Jordan Martinook.

Here's how Carolina will line up against Vegas:

Andrei Svechnikov - Sebastian Aho - Jackson Blake
Eric Robinson - Jesperi Kotkaniemi - Martin Necas
Jordan Martinook - Jordan Staal - Seth Jarvis
Juha Jaaska - Jack Drury - Jack Roslovic

    Jaccob Slavin - Brent Burns
    Dmitry Orlov - Jalen Chatfield
    Shayne Gostisbehere - Sean Walker

    Pyotr Kochetkov
    Frederik Andersen
