Riding a red-hot three-game winning streak, the Hurricanes fly into Chicago to face a depleted Blackhawks roster missing key stars.
What - Game 6 (3-1-1)
When - 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10
Where - United Center; Chicago, IL
How to Watch - Hurricanes Hockey Network, Chicago Sportsnet
The Carolina Hurricanes are back on the road, with their first away game being tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Carolina is on a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating the Vancouver Canucks 7-2 Thursday at Lenovo Center.
Logan Stankoven recorded his first career hat trick in that game and the Hurricanes' special teams continued their juggernaut-like start.
Chicago enters tonight's contest on the back of a 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Thursday.
And as if things couldn't get worse for the struggling Hawks, center Frank Nazar was suspended for two games due to his elbow on Bo Horvat in Thursday's game.
Tonight's game has all the makings of a potential blowout, with Chicago missing so many bodies and Carolina as hot as they are, but we'll have to wait and see if that's indeed the way this game will play out.
