When - 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6
Where - Centre Bell; Montreal, QB
How to Watch - Hurricanes Hockey Network, TSN2, RDS
The Carolina Hurricanes will play their first 2026-27 game in Canada tonight as they visit the Montreal Canadiens.
Carolina is coming off of a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers, a game in which they looked a lot more like the team we're accustomed to seeing.
It's been a slow start to the year for the Hurricanes' offense, as to have been expected with the absence of leading scorer Seth Jarvis, but Sebastian Aho has done his best to step up, leading the team in goals and points.
The Hurricanes seem to be going back to Brandon Bussi in net, who had a really strong opening game, but proceeded to struggle in game two against the Washington Capitals.
Montreal is coming off of a 6-5 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, after winning their season opener 3-2 over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Despite falling into a 5-1 hole, the Habs fought back to force overtime, which is a testament to the young groups firing power.
The Canadiens will however be without rising star Ivan Demidov, who was ruled out earlier today with a lower-body injury.
