    What - Game 3 (2-0)
    When - 8 p.m., Friday, April 24
Where - Prudential Center; Newark, NJ

The Carolina Hurricanes will look to steal a game from the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center tonight.

Carolina took the first two games at Lenovo Center, a 4-1 win on Sunday and a 3-1 win on Tuesday, and a win tonight would push the Devils to the brink.

Frederik Andersen and Jordan Martinook have been leading the Canes so far this postseason and the team will need both to continue to show up.

Carolina's depth has also been a big advantage for the team, especially as New Jersey battles health issues on the backend.

The road hasn't been kind to the Canes this season, but we'll see if they can set a new standard this postseason.

    Streaks

    • Jordan Martinook (1g, 2a) has points in back-to-back games.

    Milestone Watch

    • Frederik Andersen is one win away from tying Arturs Irbe for the second-most playoff wins in franchise history (14).
    • Jaccob Slavin is one goal shy of passing Dave Babych for the most playoff goals by a defenseman in franchise history (7).

    Game Notes

    • The New Jersey Devils have quite a few former Hurricanes on their roster including Dougie Hamilton, Erik Haula, Stefan Noesen and Brett Pesce.
    • It will be the first playoff series against Carolina for both Noesen and Pesce, while Hamilton has gone up against the Canes once (0-1) and Haula has gone up against Carolina three times (0-3).
    • On the flip side, the lone New Jersey connection on the Canes roster is Taylor Hall, who won the Hart Trophy with the Devils in 2018.
    • The two teams have faced each other in five other postseason series. Carolina holds a 4-1 edge in those, having won each of the last four, including a 4-1 series win in the 2023 second-round.
    • Jordan Martinook (4g, 12pts, 7gp), is a point-per-game players against the Devils in the postseason, having scored in every game he's played against them.
    • The Canes tied their franchise record for wins at home this regular season with 31, tied for the most wins on home ice amongst the entire league this year.
    • However, they were just 16-21-4 on the road this regular season.
