The Carolina Hurricanes will look to take a commanding 2-0 lead over the New Jersey Devils tonight in Game 2 at Lenovo Center.
The Hurricanes dominated the Devils Sunday afternoon in Game 1, defeating New Jersey 4-1 while outshooting them 45-24.
It was a good night for special teams as the Canes went 2-for-2 on the penalty kill and even scored a power play goal of their own.
It was also a game to remember for newcomer Logan Stankoven, who had two goals, including the power play tally and the game winner, in the win.
Both netminders also played an unreal game, which is probably what we can continue to expect as the series goes along.
The one question mark for tonight though will be if New Jersey has any lingering health concerns. The two teams had a physical series opener and Brenden Dillon, Luke Hughes and Cody Glass all left the game at different points throughout.
