The Carolina Hurricanes will square off tonight for Game 1 of their first round series against the New York Islanders.
It's what everyone has been waiting all year for, the playoffs.
It's the best time of the year and now it's time to enjoy it.
Carolina, who enters the postseason as the betting favorite, are looking to finally make it past the Eastern Conference Final hump and compete for the Stanley Cup, but they'll have to get past the Islanders again first to do that.
Under new coach Patrick Roy, the Isles have done a complete 180 from where they were in the middle of the year and as a scrappy underdog, they'll be a tough out.
But the Hurricanes have the talent to go all the way, it's just a matter of everyone clicking on the same page.
