Pyotr Kochetkov takes the crease as the surging Hurricanes return home to face a high-scoring Canucks squad looking to snap Carolina’s winning streak at Lenovo Center.
What - Game 5 (2-1-1)
When - 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 8
Where - Lenovo Center; Raleigh, NC
How to Watch - Hurricanes Hockey Network, Sportsnet Pacific
The Carolina Hurricanes return home after a successful road trip to take on the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.
The Canes won both of their away games, most recently defeating the Montreal Canadiens 6-4 on Tuesday.
Carolina looks to be rolling the same lineup that has them on a winning streak, with the only change being in net as Pyotr Kochetkov is set to start for the Hurricanes.
However, one big piece of news coming out of morning skate was that Seth Jarvis has shed the non-contact jersey.
The 24-year-old forward has been recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and while he won't dress tonight, it seems his return is imminent.
The Canucks have been sitting for a little while, as their most recent game was on Sunday, where they lost 3-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Vancouver has been a little more offensively potent to start the year than many perhaps expected, as the team is averaging nearly five goals per game through four games.
Obviously that rate won't be sustainable, but it goes to show that you can't be overlooking any opponents, even ones that are projected to finish at the bottom of the league standings.
