The Carolina Hurricanes will battle it out tonight with the Washington Capitals (8-2-0) for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.
The Canes are red hot right now as they have won their last five games in a row, the longest active streak in the league, and have won seven of their last eight overall.
After an 8-2 throttling over the Boston Bruins Thursday night, Carolina now is led in goals by Jack Roslovic and in points by Martin Necas.

The Capitals have been a bit of a surprise early in the season as things just seem to be clicking for them.
