The Carolina Hurricanes selected Russian forward Stanislav Yarovoi 126th overall.
Yaravoi is a double overager and he'll be turning 20 in just two months. While he may not have much room to develop further, Yaravoi has already stuck and produced at the KHL level which means something.
He's another smaller-statured forward, which has been the Canes' M.O. for this draft, but if there's potential upside, then that's all they're looking for.
There is also the potential that Carolina has a better feel for Russian prospects than a lot of other teams, so perhaps Yarovoi will prove to be more than he's currently projected as.
