Wayne Gretzky, Alex Ovechkin, move over.

    It's Mark Jankowski's time now.

All jokes aside, it's been a terrific start for Carolina Hurricanes forward Mark Jankowski, who became the first NHL player on record to score four goals on his first four shots with a new team as he netted two more goals Saturday night in Philadelphia.

"I feel like it's just coming to me right now," Jankowski said. "Playing with great players and I mean, obviously, we're a great team. We're having the puck a lot right now, we're playing well as a team, so luckily it's finding me right now and I'm able to finish them."

After scoring two in his first game as a Hurricane against Connor Hellebuyck and the Winnipeg Jets, Jankowski didn't have a shot on goal in his next two appearances.

However, it looks like he was just building up his power again as he netted two more against the Flyers.

"Honestly, from day one, coming into this group, everyone's just made me feel right at home right away," Jankowski said. "When you're going to different teams and stuff, right away there's nerves, jitters, you don't really know anyone, but when I came into this locker room, I felt like I was here for years. Everyone just made me feel so welcome and I was able to just go out and play my game and focus on hockey right away."

Jankowski has brought a nice little boost to the Canes' fourth line, making a good pair with Eric Robinson.

He's not getting a ton of ice time, but he's making his minutes count, because I mean, you can't really get more efficient than a 100% shooting percentage.

"He's putting the puck in the net on his chances, right? That's one way to make friends," joked Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour. "We don't expect that every night, but it's been nice to get it from a guy like that who you're not really expecting, not getting as much ice time as the other guys, but he's producing and that's huge for our group."
