Sebastian Aho Named 2024 All-Star What - Game 46 (25-15-5) When - 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24 Where - PNC Arena; Raleigh, NC How to Watch - TNT, MAX -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Carolina Hurricanes will face the Boston Bruins (29-8-9) tonight on the front end of a back-to-back. Carolina is coming off a disappointing 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild, a game in which they outshot the Wild 42-19, and will hope to get some better results. It will be a tall task for them though as Boston remains one of the NHL's top teams. The Bruins do everything well and have both a top-5 power play and penalty kill, but what really separates them from the rest of the pack is their goaltending. Both Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman are top-tier goalies and have backstopped Boston this season. The Hurricanes will need a bit extra juice if they want to get the best of them, but luckily enough, perhaps they have that on hand with their moms in town. The Canes embarked on their Moms' Trip so most of the guys will have their moms at TD Gardens to watch them play. Even Spencer Martin who was just claimed off waivers less than a week ago will have his mom in attendance. And luckily for her, he's an option to start tonight as well according to Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour. Andrei Svechnikov did not make the trip and will miss tonight's game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Streaks * undefined * undefined Milestone Watch * undefined Game Notes * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key Matchups Starting Goalies * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined Leading Scorers * undefined * undefined Power Play * undefined * undefined Penalty Kill * undefined * undefined -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hurricanes Projected Lineup Michael Bunting - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen Jordan Martinook - Jordan Staal - Seth Jarvis Stefan Noesen - Jack Drury - Martin Necas Brendan Lemieux - Jesperi Kotkaniemi - Jesper Fast Jaccob Slavin - Brent Burns Brady Skjei - Brett Pesce Dmitry Orlov - Jalen Chatfield Spencer Martin Antti Raanta Injuries and Scratches: Tony DeAngelo, Andrei Svechnikov (UBI), Pyotr Kochetkov (concussion), Frederik Andersen (blood-clotting issue) Bruins Projected Lineup Brad Marchand - Charlie Coyle - David Pastrnak James van Riemsdyk - Pavel Zacha - Jake DeBrusk Jakub Lauko - Morgan Geekie - Trent Frederic Danton Heinen - Jesper Boqvist - Matthew Poitras Matt Grzelcyk - Charlie McAvoy Hampus Lindholm - Brandon Carlo Derek Forbort - Kevin Shattenkirk Jeremy Swayman Linus Ullmark Injuries and Scratches: Oskar Steen, Parker Wotherspoon, Milan Lucic (personal) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recent Articles Post-Practice Brief: Andrei Svechnikov To Miss Game Against Boston Bruins; Spencer Martin Option to Start in Net [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/news/post-practice-brief-andrei-svechnikov-to-miss-game-against-boston-bruins-spencer-martin-option-to-start-in-net] Jordan Staal, Sebastian Aho and Rod Brind'Amour on Loss to Wild: 'We just couldn't finish' [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/news/jordan-staal-sebastian-aho-and-rod-brindamour-on-loss-to-wild-we-just-couldnt-finish] Mental Errors, Even-Strength Scoring and The Svechnikov Void: Three Takeaways from Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 Loss to Minnesota Wild [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/analysis/mental-errors-even-strength-scoring-and-the-svechnikov-void-three-takeaways-from-carolina-hurricanes-5-2-loss-to-minnesota-wild]
