Three Keys - CAR @ SJS 10-17-23 What - Game 4 (2-1-0) When - 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17 Where - SAP Center; San Jose, CA How to Watch - Bally Sports South -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Carolina Hurricanes (2-1-0) will be facing their third-straight California-based opponent tonight as they complete the trifecta with a game against the San Jose Sharks (0-1-1) at the SAP Center. Carolina has not been hot to start this road trip, coming off of a 5-4 shootout win over the LA Kings and a 6-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks, but there were obvious improvements in their overall game Sunday night. The hope is that the team can carry over that momentum and have a much better 60-minute effort in San Jose. Defense has definitely been an issue for the Canes, so perhaps we could see Jalen Chatfield — who has sat the last two games — draw back in. Frederik Andersen will more than likely get the start. Andersen has a 7-8-1 record all-time record against the Sharks with a 0.927 save percentage. The Sharks, who many are projecting to be the worst team in the league this season, have scored just a single goal in each of their games this year, a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights and a 2-1 shootout loss to the Colorado Avalanche. However, Mackenzie Blackwood is attempting to have a career resurgence in San Jose and had a tremendous game against the Avalanche, stopping 51 shots Saturday night. He will more than likely get the start for the Sharks. Blackwood has a 2-0-1 all-time record against the Hurricanes with a 0.932 save percentage and one shutout.
