The Chicago Blackhawks had some special moments with Jonathan Toews. Now, after 910 days, he will return to the NHL as a member of his hometown Winnipeg Jets. They host the Dallas Stars at 7 PM CT.
Toews is expected to play second-line center. Gustav Nyquist and Nikita Chibrikov are projected to be his wingers.
The Jets are a Stanley Cup contender coming into the season. After a tough second-round loss to the Stars last spring, Toews is one of the players that they brought in to try and help them get over the hump. We'll see how his previous experiences help that group.
