This was Lardis' first month as a pro hockey player, and he was tremendous. In October, he had four goals and eight assists for 12 points in eight games. He was plus-11 during that time.
After his huge final year in the OHL playing for Brantford, it was expected that he'd be able to make the transition to pro hockey. The next step for him now is continuing his success in the AHL, which should lead to an eventual NHL call-up and debut.
The Blackhawks called up Oliver Moore ahead of Monday's game against the Seattle Kraken, so you'd assume that Lardis is the next forward on the list. A rookie honor like this certainly won't hurt his case.
