On Saturday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN and The Athletic reported that the National Hockey League trade deadline will be on Friday, March 6th, 2026.
After this day, no teams in the league will be allowed to make trades with each other until after the 2025-26 season is complete.
In the evening of the trade deadline day, the Blackhawks will be playing at home against the Vancouver Canucks.
That could be a game that sees some new faces getting an opportunity after the organization moves on from veterans on expiring deals. Chicago isn't likely to be a playoff team yet, so being true sellers is the expectation as of right now.
