Will these three Blackhawks players bounce back next season?
The Chicago Blackhawks will be an interesting team to watch next season. It is clear that the Blackhawks are hoping to be more competitive during the 2026-27 season.
When looking at Chicago's roster, they have some players who be aiming to have bounce-back years next season. Because of this, let's look at three Blackhawks who have the potential to bounce back in 2026-27.
Teuvo Teravainen
Teuvo Teravainen will be a bounce-back candidate to watch next season. The veteran forward had a quiet year offensively by his standards in 2025-26, posting 14 goals and 35 points in 75 games. Yet, when noting that he recorded at least 53 points in his two previous seasons, it would not be surprising if his offense jumps up a bit more next season.
Andrew Mangiapane
Andrew Mangiapane will be looking to bounce back from a tough 2025-26 season. The 30-year-old forward had a tough year, as he recorded just eight goals and eight assists in 62 games. A big reason for his frustrating campaign was that he could not find his fit with the Edmonton Oilers before being traded to Chicago. Now, he will be looking to turn things around next season with the Blackhawks. Keep in mind, he had at least 40 points from 2021-22 to 2023-24.
Jordan Greenway
New Blackhawks forward Jordan Greenway is another bounce-back candidate to watch. The 6-foot-6 forward had just one goal and five assists in 40 games last season with the Buffalo Sabres but has had some offensive success in the past. For example, during the 2023-24 season with Buffalo, he posted 10 goals and 28 points in 67 games. He has also recorded at least 24 points five times in his career.
