The Chicago Blackhawks have not had a good season overall, but Anders Sorensen has been given a chance to be the head coach of the team for the majority of the season after Luke Richardson was fired.

Sorensen hasn't turned the team around, but nobody should have expected as much given the roster. He has been good for the young players that fill the team though. He is still the interim head coach, so his future remains to be seen, but I think the Blackhawks could very well bring him back and give him a contract as the NHL head coach.

Due to his coaching efforts, Sorensen has been added as a coach for Team Sweden at the upcoming IIHF World Hockey Championship in Stockholm, Sweden. This is an opportunity that is deserved and great for him to be able to be a part of a coaching staff in a tournament in his home country.
